I want to tell you about life in the rural area of Vung Tau, where I currently reside. It is the city in the south of Vietnam that is most worth living in. Vung Tau is not at all bustling and crowded, despite having more than 500,000 dwellers, making it a metropolitan area. In fact, you can definitely sense a sense of calmness and peace there, which is what I believe would be most suitable for people looking to get away from the hectic lifestyles of big cities.
You should spend most of your time in Vung Tau swimming with friends or indulging yourself in exciting water sports, as the city is well-known for having stunning beaches along the coast and spectacular mountain ranges. Additionally, it’s likely that modern amenities like gyms, movie theaters, supermarkets, and convenience stores are just within walking distance.
The city’s identity also includes tradition, as evidenced by the French colonial architecture and heritage sites that stand out in the city’s center, which I hope will evoke an intriguing sense of nostalgia. In addition, nighttime in Vung Tau is something that most visitors look forward to, so if you have a tendency to become active at night, Vung Tau is unquestionably the place for you.

If I had to pick one rural area in Vietnam that I adore, it would be my hometown. I was actually born in a small village hundreds of miles from any major city. Despite being small, it has nothing to be unhappy about. In fact, the locals are friendly and hospitable to everyone they come into contact with. All the neighbors are willing to lend him a hand whenever he needs it, especially during important events like weddings or funerals.
The scenery surrounding the village is something that this place boasts, despite the lack of facilities that occasionally puts people in challenging situations. It truly is surrounded by green mountain ranges, and there is a massive waterfall that cascades into a river adjacent to the village, providing visitors with an absolutely breathtaking view. My village is well-known for its “Banh Dap,” a traditional cake made of rice and honey, and such a fantastic combination of ingredients really creates a palatable snack.
Due to the arrival of factories and new homes in the area, my hometown has undergone significant recent changes. The locals here are still courteous and warm-hearted, though, so their character remained unchanged. I moved away from this village when I was 18 to live in a big city, but I’ll be returning soon to settle down in my hometown. This is merely due to the fact that my village has always been and always will be a part of my soul.

I visited a remote village in Da Lat that is close to my grandparents’ home two months ago. I still get nostalgic when I recall that trip.
My college friends and I decided to travel somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of the city because we didn’t have any classes during the summer break. In addition, I can visit my grandparents and listen to them discuss their recent lives.
Due to its reputation as a poetic and serene city, Da Lat was our final destination. Since it is renowned for its fresh produce as well, we went to a strawberry farm and picked our own strawberries there. From the city center, it took us 30 minutes to get to the picturesque village. The inhabitants are welcoming and hospitable. They also pointed out other scenic locations for us to visit. The night time BBQ party was the excursion’s high point. We played board games after dinner until the wee hours. Then we stretched out on the grass and gazed at the stars while telling stories and having a good time.
Our stress and worries are lessened by that carefree trip, and we also grow closer to one another. I was harvesting fruit by myself for the first time, and I was also witnessing my first starry sky. The peaceful ambiance of lying down in the scenery is another factor in why I adore it so much. It is serene and romantic. We hope we can embark on more excursions to other rural areas in the future.
